styled shoot | #loveinspadesxo

You pick a date for a styled shoot. And then you watch the weather. And you cross your fingers. And then you vow NOT to watch the weather. But, when you look back against your better judgment, it has gone from 0% to rain to 100% rain and you think that it must be a joke. It never rains all day in Indiana.

Well, it does. But, in the end, it was amazing.

It was a dream come true to once again partner with the always-fabulous Jessica Dum Wedding Coordination to put together this Kate Spade-inspired spring urban alley styled shoot. Every detail, from the sassy signage to the gold snail accents, were perfectly in sync to showcase our vision… even in the typical Indiana spring rain shower.

Sweet Pea Floral Design dreamed up the loveliest centerpieces, which were made up of fuchsia and tangerine roses, lisianthus, Sweet William, and hypericum berry. The tablescape was accented with champagne mercury julep cups filled to the top with gorgeous viburnum. The stunning paperie from Whim & Proper showcased large painted flowers and thin, bold stripes, all accented with painted textures and a gorgeous hand-scripted calligraphy. The Topping completed the look with a black and white stripped cake topped with layers of golden sequins.

Our bride was stunning in her Jenny Yoo Hathaway gown and Debra Moreland accessories from M.H. Pomander’s, and transitioned beautifully into a Joanna August Holly dress (from Bella Bridesmaids) in Kelly green for the reception.

The glam squad of JW Salon and Beauty by Crystal knocked it out of the park. And every detail was perfection thanks to A Classic Party Rental, Violet Vintage and LGi Linens. And special thanks to Jackie Helton from KEEP Collective for the amazing hashtag bracelet.

Every detail from the glittered wrapping paper, to the black and white striped dance floor and the unique confetti bar completed this rainy day shoot that was flawless in every way.

You can see the video from Rewind Documentaries here. And I mean, WHOA.

I cannot say thank you enough to this RIDICULOUS team of vendors who went so far above and beyond in every way on a day where nothing really came easy. I couldn’t be more proud of our work.
