stephanie and brandon | the wedding

Get comfy.

It all started with a squirrel.  The squirrel led me to meet Erica.  And, Erica introduced me to the fabulous Stephanie.  I love the way life works out sometimes.

Stephanie and Erica were working together to make Stephanie’s wedding to Brandon PERFECTION.  And they did—you’ll see in the detail photos below.  It was the perfect barn wedding.  The perfect hair.  The perfect pig.  The perfect boots.  The most perfect bouquet.  The details were to die for.  And there were details for DAYS.

And then, it rained.  And rained.  After that, it rained some more.  And it was the kind of rain that made your bones cold.  Stephanie and Brandon remained calm (there may have been some tequila involved) and we trudged on.  I told them I needed 20 minutes for portraits (this was a lie, of course… I needed much longer).  It kept raining.  And just before the ceremony was to start… it stopped raining.  Stephanie decided to delay the wedding for a bit while we ran around like lunatics taking photos.  I will always be grateful to her for making that decision—these are some of my favorite wedding photos of all time.  I could photograph these two all day long.  And when the wedding started, it rained some more.

Oh, and did I mention that the flowers girls were… wait for it… the grandmothers?  Adore.

Thank you to Stephanie and Brandon.  You rocked it.  Hard.  Cheers, friends.

Special love to Rebecca Shehorn.  You are amazing.  Thank you for getting your bones cold for this one.  xoxo.

And to Erica… my squirrel soul mate, maid of honor extraordinaire and owner of Circle City Creations, which should get ALL the love for these crazy, rad details.
