megan and eric | manhattan engagement session

I am a lucky girl. Not only did I get to spend one amazing engagement session with Megan and Eric in NYC, but I came back for more.  The first shoot, which you can see here, was a bit of a dramatic scene on my behalf.  My plane to NYC was delayed, I ran through the Cleveland airport on a broken foot to my flight, only to find out it was cancelled, and when I finally got to NYC, it was cold. Ugly cold. The first day of our double header was to be in Brooklyn, with a second day in Manhattan. We rocked Brooklyn… we climbed bridges, ate pizza, and took some awesome photos. Then, every weather station in the world hit the panic button, saying that a huge blizzard was coming to the Midwest. It was sort of a perfect storm (sorry), but I couldn’t get stuck in NYC due to some Indy commitments I had the next Monday. So, I stressed. And finally, we called the second day, I hopped on a plane and got home (note: the weathermen were correct… it took me longer to drive from the Indianapolis airport to my condo than it did to fly from NYC to Indiana). I think it’s safe to say we were all bummed. But, I promised I’d be back.

And, back I came. Despite our better judgement, Megan and I spent most of the day of our shoot looking at our weather apps. Fail. There was a 90% chance of rain, a 20% chance of rain, a 0% chance of rain, and on and on. When it was time for our shoot, it rained. Of course. So we took it upon ourselves to have a beer and wait it out. And I’m glad we did. We hit the High Line, the roof of The Standard Hotel and Grand Central Station… topped off by some amazing cocktails at The Campbell Apartment in the train station. I adore these two. And I cannot WAIT for your wedding in a few weeks. Next time I’m in NYC, we’ll just play. Cheers.
