The new year at molly connor photography starts today—a few days late. On January 1, I packed up and headed south for a few days. It was just what I needed. Now I’m back. It’s cold. And I’m ready to rock (read: come up with new brilliant ideas and catch the eff up).
A few of my favorite things from 2012:
Rock stars. One of the best things about my job is working with some amazing vendors.
These include, but are certainly not limited to, these rock stars (in alphabetical order): April Foster Events | Boldly Chic Events | Cake Zen | Design Group | Eventfull Planning | Interprintations | La Dolce Salon & Spa | Pink Poppy Ink | The Conrad |The Wedding Studio | Wedding Day Magazine
Rad shoes. These bold brides are girls after my own heart.
Good television. I watch a lot of television. And, consequently, I often edit with my favorite shows in the background. I’d like to thank Piers Morgan, Girls, American Horror Story, Parenthood, Newsroom and Jimmy Fallon for making my couch a better place.
Funny kids. I couldn’t ask for more hilarious clients. For real. You’re awesome.
Instagram. If you’re not following me, you should. I take lots of photos of random stuff, mostly cocktails and beagles. www.instagram.com/molconnor
And some random things I learned in 2012:
Bad health insurance is better than no health insurance. Cocktails on airplanes are a good investment. Sometimes, you just have to bitch. And other times, you just have to laugh. Having a friend who makes amazing cakes for a living is a good idea. The dirtier the rap music, the more efficient my editing is. Loving hard is really the only way to do it. The Apple Store in the mall opens at 8 am—it’s the best time to go. Tequila shots aren’t so bad. Life is good, even when it’s hard.
Happy new year from Lucy Jane and I. Cheers, friends. Now off to work…
